Module 1 – Leading & Managing with Confidence
Objectives – ‘Know yourself as Leader’
By the end of this workshop delegates will be able to;
- Understand the 4 styles of personality and how to determine the best approach to influence each type more effectively
- Recognise the proportion of time they spend Managing or Leading and how this affects the time they spend ‘doing’ versus the time they should spend ‘developing’
- Have a better understanding as to how they are perceived by team members and peers and how this effect their ability to influence and inspire
- See how the confidence level they portray in day to day situations impacts on their Status
- Deliver feedback effectively so that they get more of the behaviours they want and less of those behaviours they don’t.
- Have feedback conversations earlier in the process so that they do not turn into ‘difficult conversations’
- Assess their level of focus on the Task, Team and Individual and take steps to bring about greater balance
Module 2 of Leading & Managing with Confidence
Objectives – ‘Know your team’
By the end of this workshop delegates will be able to;
- Pinpoint their own drivers and how these can sometimes limit their own potential
- Understand where they ‘lead from’ and how they can use this knowledge to transfer psychological ownership of quality and standards to their team
- Recognise where their team is in terms of team formation and identify which actions and behaviours to adopt to move towards a higher performing team.
- Turn team ‘followers’ into team ’leaders’
- Demonstrate effective delegation skills and appreciate that it is both an art and a science.
- Coach their team effectively to promote confidence and competence
- Develop a robust action plan to ‘step-up’ into leadership
